The Firm

JJ Law, LLC

Established in 2022, JJ Law, LLC is a boutique law firm in Puerto Rico that represents plaintiffs in personal injury cases, collection matters, and other civil litigation matters. In just its first year, the firm and its partners successfully recovered over $1MM for its clients. Our attorneys only charge an agreed-upon percentage of the compensation received (contingency fees), so our clients don’t have to worry about costly legal fees.

Judith Santiago-Medina

Judith is a founding member of JJ Law, LLC. For more than a decade, Judith’s career has focused on representing victims of personal injury and collections cases. She has managed hundreds of personal injury matters, including cases involving catastrophic wrongful deaths.

In addition to personal injury cases, Judith represents corporations in civil litigation in matters ranging from insurance subrogation, collections, and contract disputes.

Juan Carlos Fontánez-Nieves

Juan Carlos is a founding member of JJ Law, LLC. He focuses his practice in state and federal personal injury claims representing victims of vehicle accidents, slip-and-falls, wrongful deaths, among others.

Juan Carlos graduated summa cum laude from law school, scored in the 99^th percentile in the Puerto Rico Bar Exam, and obtained an LL.M. (Master in Laws degree) with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. He began his career as an Assistant Solicitor General for the Department of Justice of Puerto Rico, where he represented the state in appellate proceedings. Juan Carlos also worked for a law firm in San Juan, where represented corporate clients with compliance and internal investigations in foreign countries, represented high-profile criminal defendants in an array of white-collar federal charges, and managed anti-piracy matters.
